We offer a variety of surface finishes. Ultimately, the decision on what is the “right” finish for a particular board or design lies with the designer or loader of the boards and must be specified at quote. A discussion on appropriate finishes for particular applications can be found in the excellent reference: Printed Circuits Handbook by Clyde F Coombs Jr, currently 6th Edition.

Unless otherwise specified, pcbs will be supplied with HASL (tin/lead) finish.

Briefly, the finishes we offer from our local factory are:

• Hot Air Solder Level (HASL- tin/lead)
• 0.3um Immersion Silver (Lead Free) – suitable for soldering applications
• 0.03um Immersion Gold over 0.3um Immersion Silver (Lead Free) – suitable for soldering applications
• 0.3um Acid Hard Gold (electroplated) over Immersion Silver (Lead Free) – suitable for soldering & keypad applications
• 0.3um Acid Hard Gold (electroplated) over 3um Hard Nickel (for edge connectors only)
